GAB Instructor Training Session 3
Online Live

Learn to lead guided autobiography groups and become a Birren Center (https://thebirrencenter.org) certified Guided Autobiography instructor.
Do you want to help others discover the power of their own life stories? Our instructor training class prepares you to lead Guided Autobiography (GAB) courses in your community, workplace, or online.
Guided Autobiography is a proven method developed by Dr. James Birren that helps people write and share two-page life stories on universal themes—family, work, health, turning points, and more. As a trained facilitator, you'll guide participants through this transformative process, creating a supportive space where stories are shared and deep connections are made.
What You'll Learn:
How to structure and lead a GAB course from start to finish
Techniques for creating a safe, encouraging group environment
Strategies for guiding participants through the writing and sharing process
How to develop, schedule, and facilitate your own GAB groups
Training Format:
Throughout the program, you'll experience GAB firsthand—writing and sharing your own life stories while learning the skills to guide others. By completion, you'll have the tools, materials, and confidence to facilitate your own courses.
